Heya there. My name's Liam and I've been playing fiddle since I was 6 or so, but I've only just started getting proper folk lessons (I thought it'd be a good thing to take up during my gap year). I know relatively few bands/players, but my favourites so far would have to be the Wrigleys, Sharon Shannon, Natalie MacMaster and The Cottars. I know none of them play all that much trad stuff, but folk is evolving.....get with the times!
My fiddle is a 2004 Franz Sandner student model, but I don't know anything about the bow. Someone I know found it in an attic and gave it to me! People tell me it's warped and I should get a new one........ah well.
