jcoyle

Written Jan 26, 2005

Hi,

My name is joey and I am new to ITM. I spent a month in Ireland this past summer chasing down some roots, where I caught the music bug. I think some old guy sneezed in my Guinness and the infection took hold after a 2 week incubation.

I live in Chicago, but lately have been spending most of my time in a one room studio in Manhattan where my wife is going to law school.

I play guitar and I got the John Doyle DVD and his MadForTrad CDRom. He is a great guitar player. I am a convert to Drop D tuning... I am even relearning Beatles songs, etc with this tuning.

I also just started Tin Whistle, Bodhran, and Group Playing classes here in Manhattan. For Group Playing Class I will be attempting guitar.

cheers,
joey
