The Fiddle Faeries have captured me! I began a musical life with piano through grammar school, high school and college, always feeling oddly emotionally repressed throughout the whole thing. Too much reading, not enough playing from the heart.... I should say it was discouraged actually. I began to include guitar in high school & went on to some singing, song writing, meeting other people through this was most helpful in opening my heart. After a long story I have found the key to my heart is the fiddle, whether I am playing or listening to someone else playing, it doesn't really matter. And, whether I play for myself or play for someone else, it doesn't matter either. I didn't really pick this instrument up seriously until 2001 when I was 48. Foolish or Fearless? What matter is it. It's a blessing either way. Thank you to everyone for all of the tunes, discussions, addiction enabling, advice and commaraderie here.
