I live in Berkeley, California and attend sessions at the Plough & Stars in San Francisco; a great place to hear Irish music.
I play mandolin (a Gibson 1919 A-2 and a 1921 A-jr). I tried banjo too for a while, but found my mandolin chops suffered from the competition, so I gave it up for the time being.
