I am from Akron, Ohio in the USA. I play whistle,flute,fife etc. I run a session in my home town that my Dad, Gordon Shaffer started years ago at the Ancient Order of Hibernians club. He played piano accordion. I have kept the session going since he passed away. I also play in smaller groups that play traditional Celtic, mostly Irish, music. We play anywhere that wants us in the northeast part of Ohio.
We have an open session at the Ancient Order of Hibernians club, 2000 Brown St., Akron, Ohio 44319. 8pm to ? Every Wednesday evening regardless of weather, holiday or family emergency.
