Live in Cambridge UK and go to the Mill Road session on Mondays. I play fiddle, mandolin, tenor banjo and harmonica, but mostly fiddle and I like to think I'm improving.

When the Earl of Beaconsfield closed for a while, the session moved to the White Swan nearby (on the town side of Mill Road Bridge). It has reopened since, I'm glad to say, but we seem to be settled in the White Swan which is much bigger and very session-friendly (the Beaky was great too - you never know, we might end up back there one day). We've updated the website but it's too difficult to change the name: http://www.geocities.com/beaconsfieldsession/ )

The session is going strong: friendly, crowded, and inclusive, but you wouldn't say that this was a beginner's session. Anyone who can contribute is welcome, though it is getting a bit over-crowded at times. Often it goes on late, but the pub customers can be very noisy after midnight and the acoustics aren't good (but it's all great fun if you like a noisy, anarchic, unpredictable session). Monday nights - from about 8.30 - White Swan, Mill Road, Cambridge. In the larger bar on the left-hand side of the pub, down the far end.

I also play with the Cambridge Scottish Accordion and Fiddle Society.
