Joe CSS - a memoir

Until recently considered taboo amongst polite society, Joe CSS has never been far from controversy around these parts. An eighteen year-old Jewish half-Irish fiddler and whistler and bodhránistá living in London, he is considered by some to be the best Irish traditional musician outside of Ireland. He has been married three times. The subsequent sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.
He likes to annoy people by playing tunes in time signatures such as 7/8 and 13/8 and he enjoys listening to bands with controversial status on these boards such as Lúnasa and Flook. He has a tattoo on his chin which says "My name is Joe". His favourite soloist is Michael McGoldrick despite many warnings from his accomplices.
However he is by no way limited to this one kind of music...he continually breaks down barriers and has been known to touch guitars and trumpets and "tinkle around jazz-style" on the piano, God forbid. He is often to be found at the slot machines, and is also one of the best-known blackjack players in Europe. His likes include hedgehogs, bird watching and weight lifting, and his dislikes include ice cream, weekends and snow.
His main pastimes are writing limericks and spending massive lengths of time on the phone.
He wishes to thank Pete Cooper and Garry Shannon for making him the lad he is today.
