*** August 5, 2008 Update ***

My son is now 4 yrs & 4 months old. Last week he said one of the kindest things that anyone has ever said to me. We were driving in the car, listening to Tara Diamond on the CD player, and he said, "Dad, this person on the radio plays flute as well as you do."

I guess he still has a bit to learn about Irish flute playing! ;-)

I've written about some of my ITM experiences from living in Japan for three years. I hope you enjoy reading:

Live in the northeast corner of the U.S. --- Vermont.

Play ITM on keyless blackwood flute since ~1999. Switched from tinwhistle when I heard Siobhan Kelly play. Other key influences are Catherine McEvoy, Paddy Carty, Mike Rafferty, Mike McHale.

My beautiful son, Nathan, is now 4, and he still falls asleep to my playing every night. In fact, he won't even go to sleep unless I sit down next to his bed and play music for him. He mutters: 音楽 as he falls asleep. :-)

My e-quaintance, thesession.org's benevolent ceolachan composed this tune for my son:
