*** February 5, 2008 Update ***

Hiatus from Irish Traditional Music finished. Back in Vermont and losing my hard-earned Japanese language skills at a an inverse proportional rate to re-learning Irish tunes.

I've written about some of my experiences in Japan. I hope you enjoy reading:

Live in the northeast corner of the U.S. --- Vermont.

Play ITM on keyless blackwood flute since ~1999. Switched from tinwhistle when I heard Siobhan Kelly play. Other key influences are Catherine McEvoy, Paddy Carty, Mike Rafferty, Mike McHale.

My beautiful son, Nathan, is now almost 4, and he still falls asleep to my playing every night. In fact, he won't even go to sleep unless I sit down next to his bed and play music for him. He mutters: 音楽 as he falls asleep. :-)

My e-quaintance, thesession.org's benevolent ceolachan composed this tune for my son:
