I'm 19 I am of the male gender my name is Avery LeVine I am currently in school at Dublin Institute of Technology, studying Irish Music. I play Flute and Whistle usually, but when I don't really know a tune well I pull out the Bouzouki and play some form of Rhythmic Harmony. Sometimes I play a couple tunes on the regular Mandolin as well. My other hobbies include smoking bowls, chillaxin, Pints of Guinness or Bulmers, and I have been known to read a bit when not smoking bowls.
I pretty much just listen to ITM ranging from pure drop to jazzy I would say may favorite bands/groups are: Danu, Lunasa, Bohola, Shooglenifty, Flook, Dervish, Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill, and Teada. I consider these artists my biggest influences when I play Flute; Kevin Crawford, Martin Hayes, Michael McGoldrick, Matt Molloy,Tom Doorley, and Brian Finnegan
When not playing or listening to trad I listen to or play Jazz. Usually on Mandolin or Octave Mandolin, but sometimes I will play a tune on Flute or Whistle if I have the right key instrument and the tune doesn't have too many chromatics. Django Reinhardt is probably my favorite jazz musician.
