grew up listening to Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Jimmy Shand, Allistair Anderson, John Kirkpatrick...
Started on the flute when i was 11, switched to wooden flute in the early 90's. Started on the Northumbrian small pipes about the same time. Got my first Hurdy-Gurdy about 2003 and its all been downhill since then...... Been interfering with the Border Pipes also over the last few years.
Played guitar, bass and cittern growing up and into my '30s but alas they have fallen by the wayside.
Listen to a wide range of 'traditional' based music, irish, english, scottish, northumbrian, french, breton, italian, spanish, scandinavian, german medieval speed metal..... etc
Blowzabella, Trio Patrick Bouffard, Paddy Keenan, early Lunasa and Solas, In Extremo are amongst the cd's most likely to be found in my car.
