I'm from NJ but have lived in Winston-Salem NC for 13 years or so. I began listening to traditional Irish music in college (late 70's) and began playing around with the whistle. I played periodically in a session in lower Manhattan for a while, and I even sat in one night at a session in Dublin (the Brazen Head maybe?)! A couple of years ago I attended a local session for a while - I need to get back ther (Foothills Brewery). I built a harp, on which I can play a few tunes. Recently I've been playing around with a ukulele - fun! I'm not very good on any instrument, but I enjoy playing.
