Way back in the 1960's I played some concert flute - at that time I was very involved with both English and Irish traditional music. But only got really keen on the flute a few years ago.
I grew up mostly near Birmingham, but also spent years in Glasgow, Hamburg, West Cork and Sydney. I now live in the northern tip of Tuscany.
Favourite players would be people like Catherine McEvoy, Hammy Hamilton, Harry Bradley.
