I've played "the music" on and off for about 20 years, mainly on bouzouki, inspired originally by hearing the Bothy Band and DeDannan sometime in the 70's.
I started to learn playing anglo concertina having been impressed by the playing of Niall Vallely. However, now I find his playing a bit "over the top" on some tunes. Current Heroes are M
