I'm originally from San Francisco, California, USA but I'm living in Fresno now. I began studying Irish music after I built my first harp in 1995.
Eventually, my flute repertiore started getting more and more Celtic, so I bought an Irish flute off a link on this site in 2000. I also spend a lot of
time on guitar and hammered dulcimer. I haven't noticed as active a Celtic music scene in Fresno as compared to San Francisco, but it is out
there if you look for it. That's one of the reasons this site is like a lifeline. I don't have a lot of chances to hear these tunes anywhere else.
