Pat Mustard

I'm from Athlone and currently working in Dublin. Firmly in my late twenties. Whistle is my weapon of choice - I mainly play a brass Burke session-bore whistle and occasionally mess about with low whistles too.

I have both a Seery flute and an M & E polymer flute and am enjoying the M & E flute immensely. After getting a chance to play an Olwell at a session a while back, I just had to order one - I'm hoping to see it some time this year.

I'm also determined to learn to play uilleann pipes at some point but keep seem to keep suffering setbacks in my piping journey! I bought a new practice set and the chanter has turned out to be firewood, the bag leaks like there are drones sucking air from it, and the bellows is coming apart too (and this was made by quite a well-known maker - not a Pakistani set from eBay)!

I have since bought a lovely chanter from Martin Preshaw, and am looking forward to having a bit more free time to start learning properly and giving the instrument the attention it deserves.

When I'm not playing music, I enjoy kicking puppies and wasting squirrels with BB guns.

I have formerly gone by the names 'Craic Addict' and 'LowWhistler' on here.
