Those familiar with Scottish fishing boat registrations will already know that my Session name indicates a port in the Outer Hebrides. I’ve been in voluntary exile in the Lowlands since I was 18 (for 40 years so far) for education and career reasons. Clearly destined to be a perpetual learner on fiddle and pipes, having started very late, but I suppose there are worse fates! Modest repertoire mostly Scottish, especially West Highlands/Islands but interested in any “good” music, which obviously includes (most) Irish Traditional Music. Must also confess just to enjoying The Session Discussions, particularly when I’m supposed to be working.
