Hi! Bob MacLean in Guelph, Ontario Canada. I am a guitarist that is always looking for more tune sources to work into my tune sets for fingerstyle guitar. This site and JC's are FANTASTIC!! I also love the comemnts form you all to get background on the tunes. I use trad session tunes as well as trad song material for my arranging. I play standard tuning but mostly play altered - DADGAD, CGCGCD, CGDGBD and variants of the above. I play mostly solo but also play with a great bunch of session players in my area (South-Central Ontario) - Eva McCauley, Robin Aggus, Jacob McCauley and a bunch of others. Was in Ireland recently and had the chance to hear the Kilfenora Ceilidh Band on a Sunday evening - a brilliantly special night! I have been using a Gold Tone Paul Beard Dobro for playing tune arrangements as an added sound to my main axes. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS if you are a serious celtic fingerstyle player. Awesome sound perfect for the style- Brilliant!
