I live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I work in ecology and GIS fields. I play the fiddle as close to the old style players that I idolize as I can. Junior Crehan, Bobby Casey, Denis Murphy, Billy and Julia Clifford. I also am getting along fairly well on the concertina in the style of Mary McNamara and not so much Mr. Hill. My girly plays the C#/D accordion. She started playing a few months after I did, so we learn alot together. She is a visual artist and my best friend.
Karli, Nico the Albino Piper and myself host a session here in Hamilton on Wednesdays at the nicest session pub in Canada, The Winking Judge. The beer is marvelous, the acoustics are grand, and the punters and ghosts seem to enjoy the tunes.
My fiddle is a nice old copy of a Marcus Berini, built by someone in Paris in 1850, but the name has worn off. Right now I'm playing a Rochelle anglo until I can afford something better *Donations Please*
Karli plays a Saltarelle Irish Booby in C#/D that she bought off of Brother Steve. She's also marvelous on a one-row 4 stop but we don't have one at the moment!
