roaringj

I play octave mando in a celtic-contra band here in northern New Mexico. I also dabble in spoons, bodhran, guitar, and tenor banjo. Over the years I've moved through classical, rock, and folk tastes to focus mostly on celtic, old-time, and what seems to be collectively known as "Americana" (Tim O'Brien or the Waybacks, for instance). I am also interested in instrument repair and construction.
I'm part of the loosely organized autonomous collective known as Roaring Jelly, who jam on Sunday nights and self-select for accompanying Scottish country dancing, contras, weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Irish gigs, etc. See http://www.cybermesa.com/~keating
