Laoise - originally from London, then spent 8 years or so in Belfast and am now back in London. I play Mandolin and Fiddle and am occasionally known to sing the odd song. From Irish trad I rediscovered my own Jewish Roots and now play Klezmer and sing Yiddish songs, but my heart is still (partly) in Ireland! I recently formed Nomadica playing Klezmer crossed with Indian music and a bit of Irish too. I also love Breton music, as well as "World Music" of all descriptions. I work for JMI - the Jewish Music Institute based at SOAS.
