I am a piano accordionist specialising in traditional Irish music. In recent years I have also taken up the B/C button accordion and released a button-box album in 2010. I have long experience playing in céilí bands and am currently with fiddler Paddy Blee and drummer Johnny MacRory in the Trasna Ceilidh Band (3-piece)playing Irish and Scottish dance music at ceilidhs, weddings and corporate functions. We also do some sets. I was formarly with the Blackthorn, Árd Rí, Eddie Fagan and McElroy céilí bands.
Although based in Belfast, I now spend a lot of time in the Glens of Antrim attending sessions in McCollam's Cushendall, O'Connor's Ballycastle and the Skerry Inn, Newtown Crommelin.
I have been composing jigs, reels, hornpipes and airs for many years and have issued a CD with these new tunes called "Keynotes". I also have a small recording studio and record business (www.glensmusic.com) and have been in invloved in a number of recording projects which can be purchased from my web shop at the above address.
I hope to submit my own tunes to this website one at a time in the near future.
