Franco Cesarelli (Solo Musicians)
I can often be seen busking in the West Midlands for cancer charities. I don't know how traditionalists would view my use of computer generated accompaniment but many appear to appreciate my efforts, and I still enjoy playing at real sessions. I am available as a solo performer in the UK West Midlands within a 40 Mile radius of Birmingham. Making use of self prepared accompaniment tracks I can provide live music for your event at an affordable price. If required I can play with a caller providing a complete barn dance. I have many years experience as a barn dance/ceilidh fiddler. My programme largely consists of lively Celtic/American dance music. I also play quieter items including waltzes, airs, film music and some light classical pieces. My repertoire is suitable for background, listening and dancing. Stacey started of as a goldsmith and then used her comprehensive knowledge of metals to make, in my opinion, the best whistles in the world. Her whistles are made of aluminium tubing and can be made in any key , with a tunning slide (aluminium) if required. Stacey has invetnted a number of whistles including the "Q1" which has taken the whistle world by storm, selling nearly a thousand whistles ,world-wide, in its first few months on the market. She also makes metal flutes ,which are just like a key-less wooden flute but made of aluminium ,and the "Highlander" range which are whistles made of a plastic called tufnol .Everyone of Stacey's whitles are individual because of the multi-resin fipple plugs which, I feel add generously to the overall beauty of the whistles. There is no doubt that these whistles will be the first choice whistle for the next generation of professional whiste players ,which they deserve to be .I think the best way to sum up Alba whistles is that they are original,funky and ornate whistles which sound like "Marilyn Monroe singing happy birthday to John F Kennedy" (Dale Wisely, Chiff and Fipple web-magazine)
