Franco Cesarelli (Solo Musicians)
I can often be seen busking in the West Midlands for cancer charities. I don't know how traditionalists would view my use of computer generated accompaniment but many appear to appreciate my efforts, and I still enjoy playing at real sessions. I am available as a solo performer in the UK West Midlands within a
40 Mile radius of Birmingham.
Making use of self prepared accompaniment tracks I can provide
live music for your event at an affordable price.
If required I can play with a caller providing a complete barn dance.
I have many years experience as a barn dance/ceilidh fiddler.
My programme largely consists of lively Celtic/American dance music.
I also play quieter items including waltzes, airs, film music
and some light classical pieces.
My repertoire is suitable for background, listening and dancing.
To check my availability and to discuss your requirements
please Email funkydelard@hotmail.com or 'phone 01384396706
Alternately you may contact me by signing my guest book.

Bizarre Records (Humour)
Music-related, made me laugh. There's at least one album - a Stroll Through the Emerald Isle by someone called Kathy Shadows, which is worth a visit in its own right.

Kornog (Music Groups)
Website of wonderful Breton/Scottish band Kornog. Although they play mostly Breton music, many Irish-style flute players cite Jean Michel Veillon as an influence. There is quite a strong link between Breton and Belfast musicians; it's worth checking this music out.
Nicolas Quemener has replaced Soig Siberil on guitar but otherwise the original line-up hasn't changed:
Jean Michel Veillon - flutes, bombarde and bansuri
Christian Lemaitre - fiddle
Jamie McMenemy - vocals, bouzouki

Tejedor samples (Music Groups)
This site contains some samples of music by the talented Asturian group Tejedor. Produced by Phil Cunningham and featuring guest musicians such as Michael McGoldrick and Chus Pedro (excellent lead singer with the group Nuberu), their debut CD Texiendo de Suanos demonstrates parallels between Asturian and Irish music while retaining a very individual and fresh sound.

Website with some info about Donegal fiddle player and larger than life character Danny Meehan. Now based in Ilford, London, Danny was recently "kidnapped" and dragged off to a studio to record his Navvy on the Shore CD. You can hear Danny's generous personality and style come through strongly on this recording.

P45 (Humour)
Modern Irish humour/satire. Great site for wasting time at work - it's massive. Students dossing around or an inevitable product of the Celtic Tiger? Good place to learn about current Irish points of view if you intend to visit the Emerald Isle. By the way, for those who don't know, your P45 is a tax document you get when you lose your job.
