A great weekend of Irish traditional music, song and dance takes place in the West Clare town of Kilmihil and starts tonight (Friday, 27th June).
This event has a special place in the hearts of traditional music enthusiasts as it brings back memories of the great festivals held in the town during this same weekend in the seventies with top class performers of yesteryear including the legendary Liverpool Céilí Band.
A special feature of the festival will be the visit of highly talented traditional group Tintreach from Athlone, stars of the recent TG4 “Las Vegas” show. Tintreach will perform in the Community Centre on Saturday night.
