The only surviving cross roads ceili in Dublin and Wicklow is held Cabinteely Village. It is a unique and rare experience bring old and young together for the evening. The ceili band play from an open sided Juggernaut brought in for the evening, and dancing is on a temporary floor on the road. There is no fee, however all our profits (bucket collection and raffle) benefit Blackrock Hospice. Musicians and dancers welcome. Ceili Music by Sean Norman Ceili Band on the truck, guest musicians include Pipers Club & Friends, Cumann Naomh Bride and others, plenty of music in the pub. Fear a Ti is Jimmy Brennan. I remember playing in the Horse & Hounds a few years ago at the time of this ceili. It was good crack but haven't been since [it was about 2005.] I'll go down this year if I'm not away that weekend. Jimmy is a sound man!
