Jameson's Revenge is a loosely connected group of "Trad" Irish/American players from in and around the NYC/Westchester area. The mostly gather at ,a few of these players will get together and perform at shows in various venues and Festivals around the area. This particular concert at Ulysses in NYC will feature music from Isaac Alderson (flute, whistles, uilleann pipes), Denis McCarthy (fiddle, tin whistle), John Walsh (guitar, vocals) and Brian McCarthy (bodhran, cajon). Isaac and Denis have a combined seven "All-Ireland" Championships between them on their respective instruments and John Walsh is regarded as one of the premiere Celtic guitarists on East Coast and together with Brian on percussion they provide a rhythm that can best be described as infectious. This is the newest group is quickly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with both in the NY Irish music scene and beyond. If you're NYC on May 3rd and are a fan of really "spirited" trad/Irish music then theis is a must attend event.
