Virtuoso traditional fiddler, Maeve Donnelly will be performing music from her recently r ecorded CD. She will be accompanied by ace guitarist Tony McManus who also co-produced the CD. This is Maeve Donnelly’s second solo CD and features some of the Co. Galway fiddler’s favourite traditional tunes with more recent compositions by Paddy Fahey, Ed Reavy, Paddy Kelly as well as some surprises (in surprising keys).
Tony McManus is a Scottish accoustic Celtic folk guitarist of Irish descent who is highly regarded for his exceptional skill and expressive playing. English guitarist John Renbourn described him as “the best Celtic guitarist in the world” so lovers of traditional music are in for a “double treat” at this unique Cois na hAbhna event.
