The Festival is based in Stromness and its surrounds, with a couple of venue changes to accommodate the ever-increasing audiences. Country events will also be held in St Margaret’s Hope, Longhope, Orphir, Harray, Rousay and of course, Kirkwall.
I have been attending events for thsi festival for as long as I can remember since I grew up in Orkney. I missed a few years when I was at University. Now I am working in Aberdeen and getting back into playing the fiddle this is something to be added to my calender every year. There are concerts, stomps, ceilidhs and plenty of sessions for everyone. I can't wait!!
