11 March 2008 - ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND - Fadó Irish Pub and Restaurant on West Street will host a ceili from 1:30pm to 4:00pm on March 16th, 2008 featuring 'The Chesapeake Ceili Band' with caller Marilyn Moore. The ceili will display the area's top emergent Irish Traditional musicians in a rare appearance together. The Chesapeake Ceili Band plays Irish Traditional dance music in a local Maryland style that has roots in the music of Clare and East Galway. Comprised of the state's top young Irish musicians, it evidences the presence of a vibrant Irish community in the area that is at once steeped in Ireland's musical tradition, but wholly a product of Maryland. The ensemble's line up includes Jim Eagan and Danny Noveck (fiddles), Laura Byrne and Brendan Bell (flutes), Sean McComiskey and Peter Brice (accordions), Patrick Cavanagh (banjo), Matt Mulqueen (piano), and Josh Dukes (drums).
