Submitted on March 12 th 2008 - giving only four day's notice of a major Irish event in Melbourne. Are you serious ? And I receive this newsletter today, Monday 17 th March. What a pity - would have loved to have seen some Irish dancing, and love the music ! Are you not aware that most dance groups in Melbourne have their calendars planned out a year in advance ? And that there is ample forward notice given ?
Paul, please don't shoot the messenger. I was surfing the web, like anyone else can, when I found this event over on the Comhaltas site and just drew attention to it here as I thought it might be of interest to Australian based Yellow Boarders. It was probably posted on the Comhaltas site weeks ago, so if you want lots of advance notice of events, please do your own surfing!
Melbourne Irish Cultural Day
Details on this great pre-St. Patrick's Day event are given on the Comhaltas site at http://comhaltas.ie/events/detail/melbourne_irish_cultural_day1/.
It's one of those events with something for everyone from music workshops to dancing exhibitions, concerts, a céilí and sessions!
