Ok this festival keeps a pretty low profile for a reason, it is only really suitable for people who play or have a strong interest in Donegal Fiddle Music.
If you like Donegal Fiddle music you'll be in heaven here, not just because of all the great fiddlers you'll find but because the area is one of the most beautiful areas you'll find anywhere.
If you play banjo or accordion chances are you won't find much of a welcome here, it really is for fiddles only and Donegal fiddles at that. It's a great place for fiddlers to learn about the different Donegal styles.
In saying that it's almost exclusively for fiddles last year I did spot the odd flute, pipes, whistle and guitar during the week but they were obviously hugely outnumbered by fiddles!
