The much talked about new Monday night gig in Edinburgh's Octopus Diamond (Old Left Bank) continues on Monday 23rd April with sets by:
Emerald Rae (Scottish Fiddle champion from Boston, MA) and Mark Neilly
Heelieegoleerie (Celtic Connections-Danny Kyle Open Stage Winners 2006)
9pm til 1am. Admission : £3 on door.
Shower of Banjos will run weekly from monday onwards, we aim to feature music based loosely in the trad scene, but with an emphasis on the slightly more off the wall acts about in the scene today.
The call is out for anyone wanting to play a set especially if it's new or experimental.
This is a great opportunity for the Edinburgh scene but it's future depends on having a regular loyal audience, so we really need everyone's support.
