The world of ‘Cybermusic’ is very hot these days! We here at the Mill Pond, would like to invite everyone who would be interested in participating in a very unique event, a ‘Virtual Folk Festival’ - essentially it’s a www.‘cyber session’. I know it sounds a bit wild – but it’s going to be Super fun! The basic idea is that there will be 3 stages - 2 stages are essentially virtual and run on a site called 'Second Life'. The other stage (also accessible through this site) will be run out of a ‘home studio’ in Ste Anne de Bellevue, and broadcast into the ether. The server hosting the event will also allow people to tune into a specific URL and listen to the MTL and the ‘virtual’ sets like a radio station.
The folks at the Mill Pond are essentially organizing and running this 1st annual, 2-day, Internet Folkfest ‘live’ on the net, out of Montreal, Qc. Participants will play a set maybe two (45 min/set). The sessions will be held on 8 (Fri, PM) and 9 (Sat, mid afternoon on)/ June 2007. To add incentive - we're holding a big BBQ (Beer/Hotdog/Burgers and other goodies) for the 'Local Montreal area' participants - old and friends!
Well folks, we hope you might find this IFF intriguing enough to consider contacting either myself, Ted (Prairie Dawg) Daly at < edward_daly@hotmail.com > or Ian Gray < gray_i@hotmail.com >. We’d really love to have you 'log-in'.
Salute!

Hello There!
Here's the site we've set up to announce the festival.
Please feel free to have a 'look-see' and forward it to anyone that might want to have a listen on the festival weekend.
