13th Annual Catskills Irish Arts Week July 15-21, 2007 East Durham, NY

The Irish American Resort Town opens it doors to the yearly non-stop celebration of traditional music and dance and also the celtic arts during this week in July. Over sixty classes daily along with at least one topical lecture or master class in the late afternoons. Each evening an sublime concert featuring members of the teaching staff is held in an outdoor pavilion and a ceili in one of the town dancehalls. A choice of six session venues in the area's roadhouses awaits every night until the early hours, including a singing session. The week is capped off with a day long festival on Saturday which this year will be dedicated to fiddler Andy McGann who passed away in July of 2004 . Classes reguire advance registration but all the other events are open to the general public with a nominal fee.
There is a children's program also which allows parents to register for the classes.

Registration is open and discounts for advance registration are available until May 1. It promises to be another outstanding escapist week in East Durham, the town where time truly does stand still.
