This is the 3rd year in which the “Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms” organisation, supported by Aberdeenshire Council, have joined forces to instigate a series of informal sessions of traditional Scottish music in several venues located along the valley of the River Dee.
18 events have been planned, between 21st July and the 29th of September. Every one of these sessions will be “hosted” by at least 2 top traditional Scottish players - [ including, on some nights, fiddler Paul Anderson, possibly the greatest exponent of the fiddle styles of the North-East of Scotland ].
All of the sessions are open to any visiting or local musicians to come along and join in. Everyone, of course, is very welcome to come along and listen.
If anyone seeing this would like any further information about any of these events - I'll be posting the rest in the near future - please feel free to send me a private message through this website.
Hope to see you there
