Yes, BCMFest is a great event -- very much a grassroots, community-oriented festival. You'll get full-time "pros" sharing the spotlight with evenings-and-weekends musicians, so there's a real egalitarian feel to it.
This year's edition, incidentally, features a special finale concert, "Finding Our Place," celebrating the shared love of traditional music across the generations. Among the performers to be featured will be folks like Larry Reynolds, Brendan Tonra and Helen Kisiel.
