With a new album thats causing ripples through the Irish music scene, John Spillane is a man on top of his game. The album "The Gaelic Hit Factory" is an eclectic mix of Irish songs and poetry set to rhythms that stir the heart.
The album also sees the return of John to Belfast, a visit he is looking forward to immensly. John will be performing tracks from the new album as well as some from his extensive back catalogue in a concert at An Chultúrlann.
John will be joined at the gig by young singer/songwriter Stephen Duff. Although Stephen has only been on the scene for a few short years, he has already supported Frances Black in Féila an Earraigh, Janet Holmes at Common Grounds and has gigged all over Ireland from Sandino's to the Wicklow Sailing Club. His original and poetic songs have been played on numerous radio stations, striking a chord with the hearts of many, as they speak of the lives and struggles of ordinary people.
