Scottish fiddle Weekend workshop and Concert with Alasdair Fraser/Natalie Haas
This 2nd annual weekend retreat workshop promises to be a good time for all. Nestled on picturesque Whidbey Island, Fort Casey is a great place to wander as well as study music.
Alasdair Fraser, Scottish fiddle tradition bearer will introduce some tunes. Calum MacKinnon, from the isle of Tiree in the Hebrides, will support any beginning Scottish fiddlers. Natalie Haas will impart her unique cello back up to cellists while Josefina Hunner will teach guitarists DADGAD tuning and backup.
All willing workshop participants with join in with Alasdair and Natalie to close the Sunday afternoon concert.
