This concert features orchestrations by Fiachra Trench of select pieces from Altan's repertoire of recorded pieces. Altan have just finished recording an album of orchestral arrangements and this forthcoming concert on August 14th will be filmed for a possible DVD release by the band.
Having seen this concert in 2007, the sheer energy of conductor David Brophy with the orchestra and Altan makes for a very exciting and powerful experience.
