As well as all the talented young trad musicians, singers and dancers taking part in the concert, two veteran singers are worth a mention.
Seán Ó Sé from Cork, no stranger to North America audiences, originally performed with the legendary O’Riada Ceoltóirí Cualann group in Dublin’s Gaeity Theatre back in the sixties, and is sure to include “An Poc ar Buile” amongst his repertoire, a song with a great sing-along chorus.
FBI man (no, not a law enforcement officer but Foreign Born Irishman) Bruce Scott is a great traditional singer from Liverpool. That City may have given us The Beatles’ Lennon and McCartney in the Swinging Sixties but these were only trailblazers for Bruce who has himself penned many a fine song!
