Hi Folks,
I'm writing to tell you about a few sessions & a concert which will be taking place at the Haworth Arts & Music Festival between the 4th-7th September which, I hope, will be of interest to your members.
My name is Paul Jermyn, originally from Cavan Town in Ireland and I've been involved with Haworth Arts Group for the past few years organising events for this festival including an annual music & traditional arts exchange between The NYAH Festival group in Cavan (www.cavanmusic.com) & the Haworth Arts Group here in West Yorkshire (www.haworthartsgroup.co.uk)
This year we are delighted to be hosting two very well known names in Traditional Irish Music..
Seamus Fay
4 times All-Ireland Lilting Champion...a well known & true legend in Traditional Music circles Worldwide. At 76 years young, this will be Seamus' first time ever performing in England...which is creating great excitement not only for himself, but also all his fans & followers throughout the Traditional Irish Music World
Martin Donohoe www.tastytouches.com
One of Ireland's foremost and most eccentric Accordion Players with 2 All-Ireland Titles to his credit & countless International Comhaltas tours, Martin is probably one of the best known & loved Accordion Player's on the scene today....He is also the driving force behind the now hugely successful Nyah Music Festival which runs in Co. Cavan, Ireland every March attracting the finest Trad & Folk musicians from every corner of the planet!
These legendary musicians along with & other musicians from Ireland & right here in Yorkshire will be performing at a Sesiun at
