We are delighted to bring to Belfast some of Scotland’s finest musicians. Ingrid Henderson has been steeped in traditional music all of her life. She began performing, touring and recording at a young age and after winning the BBC Radio 2 Young Tradition Award in her early teens, she began touring world-wide and performs regularly with Blazin’ Fiddles, Cliar and the singer Anne Martin. Iain McFarlane has become one of the most sought-after fiddlers in Scotland. Best known for his role in the dynamic ‘Blazin’ Fiddles’, Iain too has been steeped in traditional music all his days. Iain is now the principle tutor at the School of Excellence in Traditional Music and does regular teaching stints at Feisean and the Irish World Music Centre. Frank McConnell returns to Belfast with his gentle good humour and vast store of old Scottish and Cape Breton steps. Allan Henderson, also a member of Blazin’ Fiddles is a fine piper and whistle player as well as a fiddler and is in constant demand as a tutor and dance band player.
