Celtic Theatre Company presents Ceol na Mara (Music of the Sea)March 9 thru 18, 2007
The creator and stars of The Celtic Theatre Company's production of "I Am Ireland" have come together again to bring you a new musical treat - "Ceol Na Mara (Music of the Sea)". The new show is a narrative in story and song, reflecting the importance of the sea in Irish history and culture, from folklore and legend to fisherman's tales, war, life on the sea, and immigration. Some of the musical selections include traditional tunes sung in Irish and English, as well as popular favorites. Among them are: Haul Away Joe, Roisin Dubh, MoGhile Mear, The Lowland of Holland, A Stor Mo Chroi, An Mhaighdean Mhara, and The Leaving of Liverpool. In addition to the lovely voices of Sara McCabe and her friends, we are very pleased to welcome some of the finest Irish Musicians in the Tri-State area to our stage:
Doug Barr - concertina
Larry McCullough - flute, whistles
John Killackey - fiddle
Iris Nevins - Guitar
Join us this St. Patrick's Day, in celebration of that magical land across the sea - Ireland!
