Masters of the Celtic Harp concert

GrĂ¡inne comes from County Mayo in the west of Ireland, and is a music graduate of Queen's University Belfast. She began to play traditional Irish music on tin whistle at an early age, before turning to the concertina and later the harp.
Over the past few years, GrĂ¡inne has toured extensively throughout Europe and the United States. She is also a qualified teacher of traditional Irish music and is in great demand at summer schools and festivals both in Ireland and abroad.

William Jackson of Glasgow has been at the forefront of Scottish traditional music for nearly 30 years. In addition to his stature as one of the leading harpers and multi-instrumentalists in Scotland, William has gained an international reputation as a composer. His "Land of Light" won the international competition in 1999 as the new song for Scotland.
