The Blythe Hill Tavern session, in its present form, will be 3 years old on Thursday 21st Sept '06. Well actually, the actual anniversary would be on the 18th Sept, but that's a Monday.
The session is still going strong, (for example there were 8 players down last night, and that's at the end of August, normally a dead time for sessions) and is always varied, with both a core of regular players and variety of not-so-regular players turning up.
As a way of thanking Con the governor for his support and endless free drinks over that time, I thought it might be a nice idea to get together as many of the past and present musicians, as well as any others who haven't yet made it down into Darkest SE London, and have a huge mega-session.
So that's 9.00pm, Thursday 21st September 2006, just 3 weeks away!
It may be a long way for some of you but if we can get enough people along it will be worth the trek. I will be putting the word around via several channels so I don't think you will be disappointed.
Directions:
Bus: 185, 171.
Train: to Catford or Catford Bridge - emerge from either station (mutually adjacent), turn right and walk along South Circular Road approx. 600m. The BHT is on the RHS. Can also get train to Honor Oak Park but a bit of a hike (see map URL below.)
