French Canadian / Northern Spain Traditional Fiddle Teachers
Howdy everyone! I am a Celtic Fiddle player, teacher, performer who lives in Washington State. Does anyone know of any teachers of French Canadian and Northern Spain Traditional Fiddle style music? Thanks, in advance, for your assistance! Deb
Re: French Canadian / Northern Spain Traditional Fiddle Teachers
Are you looking for local teachers, or maybe for music camps where you might study with them. A few of the latter you might check:
Fiddle Tunes (near you in Port Townsend)
Sierra Fiddle Camp
Lark (in the morning?) music camp
Valley of the Moon (all northen California)
I know that Guy Bouchard (ex-Bottine Souriante) has been at Fiddle Tunes and Andre Brunet has been at VOM and may be there again this year. You might also ask at the Quétrad yahoo group, at least for the Q part.
