They weigh a freaking ton and they need a mack truck to haul around. Of course they are hard to pick up.

the bass is an unforgiving instrument , well at least the german bastard that i play on. fiddle is the same way, that's why i love them. but your right the fiddle's hard to put down. i can't stop playing it!

mine sits on the desk with me and I often carry it to watch television - generally about here the family groans and does other things. ......I use advertisments as playing by ear exercises (perils of classical training).
