Cape Cod Celtic Festival June 22-25

Cape Cod Celtic Festival June 22-25

This year’s festival is going to be our most ambitious one yet and we have lots of great concerts and workshops.

Concerts are at various venues on Cape Cod and include The Boston Edge (Joe Derrane, Seamus Connolly & John McGann), Beolach, The Cape Breton Tradition (a pick up group with Kimberly Fraser, Troy MacGillivray and Dave MacIsaac) among others.

Workshops are hands on and have limited registration. Seamus Connolly will be conducting Irish Fiddle and for Cape Breton Fiddle we have Kimberley Fraser, Troy MacGillivray, Wendy MacIsaac, and Mairi Rankin. Nikki Engstrom will be conducting basic fiddle workshops while the other workshops are either intermediate or advanced. Other instructors include, Joe Derrane on box, John McGann on mandolin, Aoife Clancy vocal, Robbie O’Connell Songwriting, Mance Grady Bodhran, Mac Morin piano, etc, etc…

Massachusetts, USA. It's the arm shaped thing that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. Lovely place.

Sorry about that, I should have been more international in my first post. It's a great vacation spot. We even get quite a few Irish and Scots over in the summer.

Re: Cape Cod Celtic Festival June 22-25

The thing to remember about Cape Cod is that it is actually a cape, unlike the state of Rhode Island, which is not an island.

Re: Cape Cod Celtic Festival June 22-25

Of course Cape Cod isn't a cod and Rhode Island isn't a road, either.

Except that Rhode Island is only part of the state (and part of the name), the rest of which being "Providence Plantations". The Rhode Island part of Rhode Island really is an island. I should know: I live there. :)
