For harmonica players who want to discuss and post their own recordings of Irish and other celtic and traditional tunes, there is a forum at the Buddha's Groove harmonica player's site:
I've already posted some Scottish and Canadian Northwest tunes. Amnyone can read the posts and listen to the recordings, but you have to join to post messages.
CFCW - you mean Hal Yerxa in Alberta? Yeah, but not closely. All Yerxas are descended from a single individual born in New York state about 1750. He wouldn't knuckle under when the American Revolutionaries came to town and ordered everyone to to join up - he took the "or else" and saw them burn his crops and take one of his two cows. He joined a band of guerilla provisioners instead and after the war fled north to New Brunswick province. Yerxas have been border hopping ever since (like me - Vancouver-born and raised, California resident).
